A primary activity of the WSBA and its Working Groups is to lead education and engagement activities with the association's members, and with the broader financial markets community.
Ongoing activities include monthly Webcasts, and regular Roundtables and Innovation Spotlights.
Annual activities include the WSBA Annual Conference, the Summer Mixer and the Holiday Party.
Further activities are being considered for the future. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any ideas that you might have.
Monthly Webcasts provide an opportunity to tackle and discuss topical subjects, with presentations, interactive discussions and AMAs. Since they address topics as they arise, subjects and topics are determined 3 to 4 weeks ahead of the Webcast date.
Webcasts are free to members. Non-members are subject to approval, and a fee might be payable.
These gatherings are held regularly in New York City and typically scheduled in the early evening,
Roundtables cover broad issues related to blockchain deployment and generally consist of a short scene setter presentation, with one or more panels and Q&A sessions.
Members can attend Roundtables for a nominal fee. Non-member attendance is subject to approval and a fee might be payable.
Innovation Spotlights are mini conferences, typically scheduled in the latter part of the afternoon through early evening. The first spotlight event will be held in New York City, with other cities under consideration for future outings.
These events generally consist of one to three vendor-led educational presentations, to be followed by panel comprising presenting vendors and others.
There will be ample time for Q&A - with some 'hard' questions posed by the moderator in order to drill down on the real value of vendor offerings.
Members can attend Innovation Spotlights for a nominal fee. Non-member attendance is subject to approval and a fee might be required.
